Mac Uninstall Sling Tv App

Hello aatlow,

Sling Tv Ipad App

May 01, 2020 Once the App Store has opened, locate the Sling TV app using the search engine on the top right corner of your screen. Sling TV will populate as the first App listed. Click GET, or click on Sling TV to learn more about the App. If you clicked on the Sling TV app, click GET to start the installation process.

  • Aug 19, 2017 WARNING & DISCLAIMER: Please do NOT abuse Sling TV and/or this educational guide to download ANY copyrighted material on the web! This vid explains how to Uninstall.
  • Jan 23, 2020 To search for the name of the app, say the name of the app using the Voice search feature of your TV. If you want to use the on-screen keyboard, press the right arrow button to display it. Launch an installed app. Press the HOME button. Under Apps, select the app that you installed.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities! I understand that you've been experiencing an issue where you're prompted to repeatedly sign in to the Sling TV app on your Apple TV, and you've already contacted Sling for support.

I do see where Sling has acknowledged this is a known issue like you said, and it looks like it may have been resolved with the latest update to the app:

Mac

'This issue has been resolved with the release of SLING app version 3.2.3.132 on tvOS. If you have not automatically received this update, search for 'SLING' in the app store, and the button that normally says Open will say Update. Select it if available.

You can also try uninstalling and reinstalling the SLING app.

If this does not resolve the issue, you may need to wait a few days for the new app to propagate to your device.'

Since this is an issue with the specific app, rather than your Apple TV or tvOS, you would want to continue working with Sling if those steps don't resolve the issue.

Use Launchpad to delete an app

Launchpad offers a convenient way to delete apps that were downloaded from the App Store.

  1. To open Launchpad, click it in the Dock or open it from your Applications folder. You can also pinch closed with your thumb and three fingers on your trackpad.
  2. If you don't see the app in Launchpad, type its name in the search field at the top of the screen. Or swipe right or left with two fingers on your trackpad to show the next or previous page.
  3. Press and hold the Option (⌥) key, or click and hold any app until the apps jiggle.
  4. Click next to the app that you want to delete, then click Delete to confirm. The app is deleted immediately. Apps that don't show either didn't come from the App Store or are required by your Mac. To delete an app that didn't come from the App Store, use the Finder instead.

Use the Finder to delete an app

  2. Drag the app to the Trash, or select the app and choose File > Move to Trash.
  3. If you're asked for a user name and password, enter the name and password of an administrator account on your Mac. This is probably the name and password you use to log in to your Mac.
  4. To delete the app, choose Finder > Empty Trash.
