I use the search to filter down the view of my emails (eg. from:joe) then select the email of interest.
But if I then want to see the surrounding emails in the conversation or received around the same date, so I clear the filter. Unfortunately the selection jumps completely and the context surrounding the found email is completely lost. Is there a better way to deal with this?

There is a problem with one of my folders.
It simply wont accept the changes, nor can I delete it. The folder keeps coming back and back and back!
And it has lost all the emails that were in it!
